We’re Otm Systems — A Security Solutions Company
We started in 2019 as a consulting and design company, providing facility design services and regulatory support in the new Cannabis market.
We quickly learned how to keep our security solutions focused and not over-designed. Not only did this save business owners thousands of dollars, but these built-for-purpose systems allowed businesses to operate under new regulatory requirements.
When we started out, we didn’t do the installations ourselves. This meant a lot of our time was spent communicating with contractors who didn’t necessarily get what we were trying to accomplish.
Taking the reins ourselves and handling every step, from quoting to installing to ongoing customer support, means that we have greater control over the outcome of a project. It also means that we have practical experience troubleshooting and developing solutions for a wide range of businesses.
While a lot has changed for us since we started, three things remain the same:

When you call us, Jason and Dan still answer the phone, show up to install, and support you along the way. On larger projects, we work with a handful of trustworthy and skilled subcontractors.

MEET DAN
Principal
Dan has built his resume of technical skills in several different jobs:
- Offering consulting on regulatory compliance implementation to companies operating under the Cannabis Act Legislation
- Working as a service technician for an industrial automation/factory production machine corporation
- Studying industrial instrumentation engineering technology
- Working as a tech on a facility buildout for a corporation applying to the Canadian Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations
- Becoming a digital capture and digital asset management tech in the commercial photography industry
Now, he uses these skills to create integrated security solutions for commercial businesses.
Dan specializes in solutions where all the pieces work together and understands what security professionals and business owners need to consider when approaching their security systems.
